”No matter how difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and be good at”.

Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking said, ”No matter how difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and be good at”.

It is said that each person must write the book of his own life.

Today's unfair, harsh and merciless times in the neighboring country have taken many old people, young people and children, away from home, from their birthplace, and from the beauties and habits of the past. This is how the child Valeria (name changed) lives her story, sometimes hidden under different masks.

She comes from the city of Kherson. Having reached the threshold of adolescence, considered the period of bold and colorful dreams, Valeria remembers with sadness her mother Taia, who remained in Kherson, her father Oleg, who emigrated to Russia, whom she never saw. She's the only child... in a broken family.

However, he falls prey to the past and her thoughts stop in the city of Kherson, Ukraine, as which is known as the "city of watermelons" and "canned fish." With disturbing nostalgia, she remembers the places dear to her soul, the walks on the banks of the Dnipro river, together with her neighbors’ aunt Liuba, uncle Petea, aunt Nina, with her friends Liuba, Sonea, Nastea "We played happily and were very obedient," emphasizes Valeria.

"I studied at the school in Kherson, a large, bright, 3-level building. My colleagues were good, teachers - wise and understanding. I liked how sports competitions were organized in the school, in which I participated with pleasure because at the end we were served with potatoes dumplings”.

Sometimes life seems like a deceptive dream, which takes us through the big world... Valeria, together with her grandmother, with hearts broken in two: between the need to leave and the desire to stay, between hope and despair, I end up, like many others, in a foreign country, unknown city, about the end of May. "When I arrived in Moldova, at first sight, I was struck by the beauty of nature, the green forests, many flowers, and the people who were all kind and hospitable. They helped us wholeheartedly."

From the first days she was enrolled at the Public Institution "Petr Rumeanțev" Theoretical High School in the municipality of Cahul, where she was warmly received by all, teachers and classmates. He was actively involved in the life and activities of the high school, and participated in extra didactic activities within the high school: "Teacher's Day", "Golden Autumn", "Freshman Ball", etc.

She is a sociable girl with a lot of common sense. He quickly and easily integrated into everyday life among colleagues. He likes biology classes the most. He spent the time of the beautiful summer days at the summer camp at the "Petr Rumeanțev" high school, then at the "Romantica" rest camps for children in the village of Moscow, Cahul district and in the village of Zârnesti among children from Moldova.

The teachers described Valeria as a special person in her own way. He likes to draw very much, he always sketches something new, and unusual, often in gloomy colors.

With joy in her soul, Valeria modestly shared with us the fact that she found herself in the class collective, at the Child-friendly space, and that her grades are now higher, she feels more confident and the achievements belong to her.

With indescribable emotions, he told us about her friendship with Stanislava, the girl she met in Cahul. I make nice friends. Stanislava studies in the national school, after the lessons they talk about their successes, and they walk through Central Park "the most beautiful place in this city", says Valeria.

"I had the opportunity to participate in the book launch in Chisinau, I had indescribable emotions. I was struck by the large room that I associated with the "Presidential Palace". On stage I recited V. Romanciuc's poem "Some things known about books and books" in Romanian, which I learned together with my high school teacher.

"I like the beautiful, melodious Romanian language, but it's complicated. I memorize words and expressions easily, writing is more difficult, but I will succeed!"
